SureStrip Wallpaper

    • Pre-pasted paper for easy application (no additional paste needed) – great for first-time installers!
    • Requires only water to activate & deactivate the paste.
    • Works best on flat surfaces in low-moisture areas (not recommended in bathrooms or high-moisture areas).

    • Lightly sand any old wallcovering before removing with stripper mixed in hot water. Small pieces can also be removed by sanding. Fill and sand all cracks and holes. High gloss and semi-gloss paint finishes should also be sanded. Wash and rinse. Then apply “wall size,” especially on porous surfaces painted with latex. Oil based primer should be used on new drywall.

    • Start at the far end corner of the room and paper towards the entrance. This is a technique that makes the seam less visible.
Measure 2.5cm (1in) minus the width of the paper and draw a vertical line using a level or plumb line.
    • Measure the height of the wall and cut the strip allowing an extra 5cm (2in) at top and bottom. Before cutting the second strip, examine wall covering to find the pattern match in order to avoid unnecessary waste.
    • Pattern side down, lay the wallcovering on the table using a drop cloth to protect against overspray. Using a hand sprayer, mist clean water to the surface to activate the adhesive. Thoroughly wet the entire length of the paper paying close attention to the edges. Do not apply traditional paste.
    • Pull the strip slowly and fold glue on glue by taking both ends to the middle of the strip (booking). Let it sit for 2-3 minutes.
Unfold the top part of the strip and place the right side of the strip along the vertical line and then unford the bottom part. Smooth strip into position with a smoother, work down the center and out to each side to remove large bubbles (small bubbles SHOULD be left; they will disappear after a few days). Avoid stretching or pressure, this will remove too much glue. Avoid smoothing from side to side.
Trim excess at top and bottom using a sharp razor and straight edge.
    • Install remaining strips. Be sure you GENTLY butt the edges without overlapping. On plains and textures, we recommend “reverse hanging” the strips by alternating the direction of every other strip
    • At corner, turn the corner temporarily hanging the excess strip on the adjacent wall. Using a sharp razor blade cut the full length of the strip directly in the corner. Measure the width of the excess strip and draw a vertical line on the adjacent wall at the same distance less 2.5cm (1in) from the corner. Hang the strip along vertical line and hide the excess underneath the strip on the previous wall. Sponge all finished strips carefully with clear water to remove excess paste.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INSTALLERS: These wallcoverings are inspected and tested, but should be checked for defects before hanging. We will replace defective merchandise, but assume no responsibility for labor charges for the application or removal of any wallcovering. Hanging of 3 or more strips constitutes acceptance of the product. DO NOT ALLOW PASTE TO TRY ON THE SURFACE – REMOVE IMMEDIATELY.
